Wishing all a very Happy New Year! 2011 has been a year of great change for me. I have come back into the light as they say, and started to enjoy things again. I have made HUGE changes and I feel great. For those of you who may not know, I have entered the path of recovery this year. I am proud to say I had 6 months clean as of December 17, and will hopefully graduate from treatment January 17, 2012. It has been a real challenge for me, as my addiction to prescription medication has been a long one, actually over a decade with varying degrees of severity over time. I have been blessed with an accepting family, and some very great friends who have helped me to begin this lifelong committment to change. What started as severe depression and physical pain, moved its way into the grips of addiction with full force. It is hard to believe that so many years have gone by and I just merely existed. I am glad to be back. Enough of the disclosure. So I have moved my addicition into a more constructive one, my stitching lol. It helps me keep my mind busy, and definitely helps with fine tune my patience :) My computer has unfortunately decided not to celebrate in 2012 with me, but I will continue to post pics of my progress on the challenge as I am able. Cheers to 2012.....I am sure I will be fast asleep by 10pm with the rest of the over 40 club LOL

Looking forward to seeing more stitching therapy next year.
Wouldn't it be great if we could get stitching stash on prescription? Save the Health Service a fortune on drugs!
